Before he bore the name SkyBlade, he was designated A-17, a deep-space reconnaissance bot built by Autobot scientists during the waning days of Cybertron's golden age. During a cross-dimensional skirmish with the Decepticons, SkyBlade’s prototype form was sucked through a collapsed space bridge—emerging in a distant galaxy embroiled in civil war between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance.
Crashing near Yavin IV, his damaged body was discovered by Rebel engineers who mistook him for alien salvage tech. Repaired and reformatted using Rebel Alliance starfighter schematics, he bonded with a modified T-65 X-Wing. Impressed by their courage and tactical brilliance, he adopted the callsign SkyBlade and fought alongside the Rebellion in a hybrid mission: disrupt Imperial supply chains and halt Decepticon incursion into this galaxy.
Eventually reestablishing contact with Optimus Prime, SkyBlade became an official liaison between the Autobots and the Rebellion. With a foot in both wars, he wages a battle for freedom across galaxies—serving as a symbol of resistance, strategy, and hope.
Role in the Autobot Ranks:SkyBlade serves as the Autobots’ chief aerial tactician, trusted to plan deep-space offensives, infiltration runs, and dogfighting strategy. Where some Autobots charge headfirst, SkyBlade plays the long game—scanning skies, mapping enemy movements, and orchestrating precise surgical strikes.
He often leads a squadron of airborne Autobots and is known for staying calm even when completely outnumbered. Optimus Prime respects his logic and courage, and even Jetfire calls him “the sharpest processor in the clouds.”
